The Culinary Research and Development Prep Cook will be part of a team on the cutting edge of the culinary world. Reporting to the Manager of R&D Kitchen Operations, this role is based at The Cheesecake Factory’s corporate support center in Calabasas Hills, CA, supporting research and development efforts for a global $3.6 billion public company with over 350 full-service restaurants and more than 47,900 staff members.

Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:
- Prepare and scale recipes, assist with tastings, and support the development of new dishes
- Document test results and provide evaluations for ongoing recipe testing
- Support the creation of photo and video content for internal and promotional use
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety regulations
What we require:
- 3+ years as a prep cook in high-volume or upscale scratch kitchens
- 6+ months of administrative experience (e.g., documentation, evaluations)
- Expert knife skills and advanced prep techniques
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid CA Food Handler Card and knowledge of food safety best practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
- Passion for culinary innovation and teamwork
- Precise, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Skilled at problem-solving and managing multiple tasks
