I DID NOT GET A USERNAME OR PASSWORD. HOW DO I FIND IT?

Look for an email from thecheesecakefactory+autoreply@talent.icims.com titled “Thank You for Applying at [Restaurant Name]". After you completed an application for the first time, our system sent you a username and password reset link to the email you used in your application.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO APPLY FOR A POSITION AT THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY?

CAN I APPLY IN PERSON?

You sure can! It’s a great way to meet our managers and staff and ask questions. However, you’ll still need to apply online at www.cakecareers.com using your mobile device, a computer or an iPad available in the restaurant. We only consider applicants who have completed our online application.

CAN I APPLY TO MULTIPLE JOBS?

Yes, but try to focus on the jobs you’re most interested in and qualified for. Carefully read the job descriptions and decide which jobs best fit your skillset.

I REALLY WANT TO WORK HERE BUT DON’T SEE ANY CAREERS THAT FIT ME. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Don’t worry, we’re always posting new positions. Sign up for our job alerts and we’ll email you when we have a job that might be a good fit.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?

You’ll receive an email confirming we received your application within 24 hours. If we think there’s a good fit, a manager will reach out to you. If you haven’t heard from us within a week of applying, we either don’t have an immediate opening, or we moved forward with another applicant. However, we’ll keep your application on file for 12 months and reach out if an opportunity becomes available.

WILL I BE CONSIDERED FOR OTHER POSITIONS WHEN APPLYING FOR A SPECIFIC POSITION?

Occasionally we’ll consider an applicant for a position other than the one they applied for, but it’s not common. We recommend applying for all the positions you’re qualified for to have the best chance of being considered for a job.

I WASN’T SELECTED FOR A POSITION. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Don’t give up! We’re always posting new openings that may better match your skills. Keep developing your hospitality or culinary experiences and updating your application. The right fit may come along.

CAN I WITHDRAW AN APPLICATION?

If you change your mind about a particular job, you can withdraw your application by logging in to your account. If you don’t know your username or password, click “Forgot your password?” on the login screen and enter your email address. If you've already received a job offer, please decline by replying to the emailed offer and contact the restaurant manager to let them know.

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY INTERVIEW?

Review the job description and prepare a few examples that demonstrate your strengths and work experiences related to the position. Do a bit of research on our company and come with any questions you have about us or the opportunity.

WHAT ARE THE TOP TRAITS YOU LOOK FOR IN A POTENTIAL CANDIDATE?

Our people make us a great place to work, so we’re looking for candidates who have a positive attitude and can get along with everyone. A desire to be of service to fellow teammates and our guests is a must. The ideal candidate also has high standards for their work, is a strong team player and wants to learn and grow.

SHOULD I ASK QUESTIONS DURING THE INTERVIEW?

Yes! Thoughtful questions demonstrate your level of understanding, your interest and your passions, so don't hold back. While we want to learn more about you, your interview is an opportunity for you to get to know us, too.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR MY INTERVIEW?

Since we’re an “upscale casual” restaurant, we recommend wearing something casual, but nice – like a nice pair of jeans or pants and a collared shirt or blouse. Choose something that makes you feel confident and comfortable to help you make a great first impression.

DO YOU OFFER RELOCATION ASSISTANCE?

It depends on the role. Our advice is to apply for the job you want, and we can discuss relocation assistance during a phone or in-person interview.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY INTERVIEW?

Life happens and we understand. Please call the restaurant or text your hiring manager as soon as possible to let them know and reschedule.

WHAT IS THE REHIRE PROCESS FOR FORMER STAFF AND MANAGERS?

We love it when family and friends return! You’ll need to complete our normal online application and select “yes” on the question about working with us before and enter the last 4 digits of your SSN. This way we can quickly find you and reach out when there is an opening.

HOW CAN I APPLY FOR A NEW RESTAURANT THAT HASN'T OPENED YET?

We generally begin hiring managers for new restaurants four months before opening day, and staff about two months before. Check our NRO career page for opportunities or sign up for job alerts to be notified of new openings.

DO YOU OFFER BENEFITS?

WHAT IS YOUR VACATION POLICY?

We know that everyone needs time off to bring their best selves to work. Our team members accrue paid time off (PTO) based on their position. Please ask for details during your interview.

Look for an email with the subject line “Don’t stop now! You’re nearly done!” The email will contain a link to complete your questionnaire and finish your application.
