The Culinary Research and Development Prep Cook will be part of a team that is on the cutting edge of the culinary world. Reporting to the Manager of R&D Kitchen Operations, you will work with a culinary team at The Cheesecake Factory corporate support enter in Calabasas Hills, CA. You'll play an integral part in supporting the research and development for a global $3.6 billion public company with over 350 full-service restaurants and more than 47,900 total staff members.

Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:

  • Prepare and scale recipes, assist with tastings, and support the development of new dishes
  • Document test results and provide evaluations for ongoing recipe testing
  • Support the creation of photo and video content for internal and promotional use
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety regulations

What we require:

  • Minimum of 6 months work experience in a similar position within a scratch cooking restaurant
  • At least 3 years of experience as a prep cook in high-volume or upscale scratch kitchens
  • Proficient in weights, measures, volume, and cooking procedures
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Advanced knife skills, including identification and execution of various cuts
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and a dedication to achieving high standards
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid California Food Handler Card
